This morning I saw an ad on this site for DVI Gear's new HDI Cable. In the ad they compare the size of their cable to another (much thicker). They go on to say "DVIGear’s Super High Resolution™ (SHR™) HDMI cables are engineered for superior performance and reliability. Designed for fully transparent operation with bit rates up to 2.25 Gbit/sec., DVIGear’s SHR cables set a new benchmark for performance and durability. "
I know there are a ton of BJC fans on this site and I am becoming one myself just by reading all the threads and visiting their site.
2 questions:
-Any truth to their claim?
-How does this cable compare to BJC?
A third Q, sorry:
I will be running about 25 feet of cable from the projector to the control room. Does the fancy smancy stuff even matter for a loser like me?

I bet that cable has thicker 22ga wires in them. Extra insulation helps perhaps during installation against abbrasions and such but if it is an easy install, I would not worry about more insulation.
At your distance, I bet BJ, monoprice or other equivalent cable at 24ga will deliver video that you will not see difference in due to the cable alone.
At times, with these cables, companies may try to combine all the data rate of all the wires that is unrealistic.
Now, if you had a very long distance to wire, then a larger wire size would be worth it, the copper in it, not the external cable size.
