I am looking at the Sony DVP-NS975V DVD Player, the one who upconvert to 780p and 1080i. But can not found any reviews about it. Anyone know or hear something good or bad about it  Who have the best DVD who upconvert ...or should I wait for better model to come out !

Thanks

Unless you have a fixed pixel display (plasma, DLP, etc) I wouldn't bother with any of the converting players. If some form of HD DVD becomes a reality next year they'll all be relegated to ebay for cheap money.

Yes, for the past 2 year I have one Infocus X1 DLP projector. It's not a big expensive one but it surprising to see how the DCDI internal chip, can turn a $1200 cdn projector look like a $5K one. Right now it's hook after my Sony DVPNS775V dvd player. I am looking too see if I can squeeze a bit more of picture quality if I would run my X1 with the Sony DVPNS975V or the Denon 1920 by sending the video from the DVI directly to the X1 with a DVI MALE to VGA HD15 FEMALE VIDEO ADAPTER:rolleyes:

any one can tell me if it worth it ?

Just got a reply from Infocus for my X1 projector, and they tell me to don't waste any money by buying a DVD that upconvert via the DVI. The way it set up right now is as good as it get. Hey, I am still happy with my X1, I was just trying to squize the max from it. I guess I will wait 1 or 2 year and upgrade with a projector with a higher resolution. I got the brand new X1 for $1200 18 month ago; maybe if am luck again I could found a projector who have at less 1200X1200 resolution under $2K in 18 or 24 month.

Merry Christmas !
