Greetings,

I am looking for a recommendations for a good DVD/VHS Combo recorder. I presently have stand alone CD, DVD, and VHS units but need to recoup the space. I subscribe to Digital Cable and want to be able to burn DVDs from the saved shows. I also want to convert my VHS collections to DVD as well as from DV camera.

Thanks In Advance

Hello Mrsecman,

I 'd suggest you to grab a LITE ON VCR/DVD gear ( model LV - 9006 ), @ $ 330 (at Comp US), because it has the following highlights:

records on DVD - R/RW + R/RW and also records on CD R/RW Digital Audio.
It also has a built-in 4 head hi-fi VHS recorder/player.
Overall quality is excellent. I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and I'm fully satisfied.

Regards.

I would by the units seperateley. If the DVD or VHS craps out your screwed. Considering the cost these days of this type of equipment its the safer way to go. You could probably get better for cheaper as well.
