DVD Shelf

Not bad for $40 worth of materials, 4 hours labour, If I do say so myself

Not bad at all! Although I would prefer a dark wood color.

Now how many CDs/DVDs will it hold? Is it freestanding or recessed into the wall (hard to tell from the pic)?

I need something big and strong that will hold at least 800 CDs. I currently only have 525 or so but hey planning for the future.

it'll hold about 380 dvds, but that could be made to any size. Its built out of MDF so it could be painted any color. It is also recessed into the wall, I cut out the drywall and two studs to acomidate the shelf.

Damn. I could have used your help when I was building my sub. I was trying to figure out how to put a top on it with an angled edge to match my other furniture, but gave up.

That is one great shelf, can u post little big picture so that the design look more clear, I think the color is neat but would look great with some dark colors. Still, white is perfect, put some paintings in the walll at the sides, some, plants, some chairs and a table to look the new look of whole room..
