I've read very mixed reviews about which DVD recorders can also play music from an external drive (movies would be a bonus but not a deal breaker). I was wondering if anyone here does this or at least has tested it on machines that are currently available?
I don't want to use a media computer mostly due to the start up time and trying to keep things relatively simple.
I know I could do this from a PS3, but right now the recorder is more important than having blueray can trying to keep this under $300.
Another bonus would be if it could be bought here at audioholics. I mention that because it seems that the life span of these things don't seem the greatest so I like the idea of a free extended warranty
