Hi,
I have a HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop and it has HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N drive. I tried burning some video files using DVD-R and DVD-RW discs using Nero express and Roxio softwares and could not do it as it said the media type is not compatible and then it asked me to convert it to .vob format. I did it accordingly and it showed success at the end of it. When I tried play the play the disc on my Sony DVD player, it would not play and it says there is no video and audio files in the disc.
My questions:
1. Am I burning the video files using the right type(s) of discs or should I use DVD-RAM type of discs?
2. If the answer to my first question is 'Yes', should I use some other DVD Player to play the dics -(DVD-RAM)?
3. If the answer is again 'Yes', what brand and model of DVD players should I use to play the video files?
4. Are there any specific DVD burners that I should use to burn the video files?
I would very much appreciate your answers to my questions.
