I Have Denon 1910 Dvd And Toshiba Mt800 Projector. Both Have Dvi-d Connection. My Reciever Is Denon 4806r Which Does Not Have Dvi-d Connection.

Can I Connect Dvd Video Output Directly To Projector And Send Audio To Reciever Or I Have To Use Component Connections, From Dvd To Reciever And Reciever To Projector.

WHICH ONE SHOULD I PREFER

Yes, you can connect only the video to the projector and the audio to the receiver. The only disadvantage to doing it that way is that you would need to switch the video inputs on the PJ if you have multiple devices hooked up to it vs letting the receiver handle all switching if you connect all devices to it with one single cable to the pj.

Try it both ways and see if you notice any degradation in picture quality. If there is none, I would rather use the component video connection to retain the advantage of easy switching from the receiver.
