DVD player video is greyish

I just switch from composite to component hookup from dvd to tv. The video is different shades of grey. I didn't have this problem through the composite hookups.

The DVD and tv are both Panasonic. The component cables are Monster.

Any ideas?

Your TV may need recalibration in the component cable input mode, if the TV can memorize input specific calibrations.
