DVD Player Suggestion

I have a DVD player question. I recently purchased a RX-V2600 receiver and a PT-AE900U front projector. I now need to get a DVD player. I will do the up-converting with the receiver, so I do not need one that has that feature. Could someone recommend a good player?

Before you commit yourself to using the upconversion feature of the receiver, you might want to ask other owners of the 2600 about how good that feature is. You dont want to be stuck with a DVD player that does not support upscaling and a receiver that does not do a good job at it.

IMHO, get the Oppo 971, or Pioneer S97 or Denon 2910, etc. These DVD players have proved to be an excellent upscaling DVD players. If you get one, you will have the option to use the DVD player or the receiver to do the processing. Just select whichever works better with the display.
