I was just at Best Buy the other day and saw a very interesting item. It's the smartdisk firelite 40 GB external hard drive. The reason this caught my eye is that unlike other external hard drives this one is bus powered so it does not require an AC adapter(and I don't think it has a noisy fan like most external drives) It's fairly expensive at $200 but the convenience just can't be beat. Imagine devoting one for sports, one for family events, etc., DVDs are nice but wouldn't you like to be able to watch hours and hours of video without having to swap disks? I wish they sold TV programs like this instead of as a box of 6 DVDs.
