dvd for 2 channel audio

Hi,

what do you suggest for a high quality 2 channel dvd player?

$800-1K is well over my head for a dedicated reference cd player.

I have been looking at the Pioneer Elite DV-45. Anything similiar that maybe better?

This is mainly for 2 channel music.

don't know if it would be in your price range, & may be difficult to find, but i would highly recommend a cary audio dvd 6. it's no longer in production, so would have to find it used. down side is no hdmi, no sacd, it will play dvda but not at the high res (i have yet to hear a difference between playing dvda from my dvd6 to the 2910 which has dvda capability) but for redbook cd & particularly for hdcd it is a fantastic player. msrp was around 2000, i don't know what they go for used.
