DVD damaged beyond repair?

ok...i made a major mistake and reversed the polarity on my Audiovox 12V DVD player. (model # AVD 100 i think). I got the dreaded puff of blue smoke and the smell that every electronics guy dreads. Problem is i aint an electronics guy! i didn't pay much for it but thought i would ask if it would be worth fixing or just toss it?

Most likely not worth repairing consumable items as that is. How much?
