DvD Audio Recommendations

I'm in the process of setting up a secondary system in my bedroom for occational use both for watching Tv and listening to music. It will be stereo only and the Tv will be a standard 27". I'm looking for a Dvd player that will give me the best 'bang for the buck' in audio quality and I was wondering if anyone might know of a relatively inexpensive DvD player that has better audio output than average?

I'm still deciding on the other components, but am inclined to the new Outlaw stereo receiver and Axiom bookshelf speakers, possibly M2i's with a small sub.

Cambridge Audio Azur 540D. Has DVD-A (no SACD) and is supposed to be a pretty decent DVD player as well. For music, I'd probably opt for the Onyx X-LS over the M2i, and the X-sub would compliment them well, without costing much at all. The Outlaw is a good choice, IMO.

For DVD palyer playing back DVD -A and CD's,the CA 540D has a whole host of options in analoge . Very good DAC's,EQ settings etc. Very impressed!
Very nice transport also. They are much cheaper ths week than last.I recently bought mine for $359, I now see they are $299. Seems there getting ride of the 540 d as it is being replaced by the newer version w/ SACD for $379.

Thanks to both of you... I'll check out the 540D for sure!

Any other suggestions? This is an occational use system as I have a separate HT and Stereo only music system, so it's not going to be for much very serious use.

I just picked up a Pioneer 588A-S. I like it, I only have one SACD and it sounded good. For $120 its worth taking a look at.
