DVD-As with no Audio Options menu ?

When DVD-As have no audio options menu, what exactly are you supposed to do.

I guess the intention is to see what your player settings are. Then based on that the DVD-A simply outputs Multi Channel or Stereo. DVD-As often have the Dolby Digital offering as well. How in the world would you select that?

The high-resolution audio layer (DVD-A) is separate from the normal DVD (DVD-V) layer on a DVD-Audio disc. If you put the DVD into a normal player it will only access the standard DVD part. If you put the disc into a DVD-A player, it will normally default to the high resolution audio layer but you should be able to change the player settings if you want it to use the DVD-V layer instead.

You cannot on-the-fly switch from high-res audio to Dolby Digital or DTS though.
