DVD 5900 DVI output?

Has anyone connected the Denon DVD 5900 through its DVI successfully? I am only able to get a picture using its components cable connection. I know the TV and DVI cable are ok as they work with a Dish satelitte receiver. I can not Denon Tech Services to answer phone or email.

Syd, the DVI connection must be turned on by using the menu on the front panel of the 5900. If you have done that, check to be sure that none of the pins in the connector were bent when hooking it up as often happens with this type of connection.

Thanks Dan. I believe I've set it up properly using the DVD front panel Mode. I will look into the possibility of bent pins on the DVI.

Can you tell a difference in picture quality by using the DVI rather than the component cables?
