Dumb to ask

Hello

I just upgraded to Oppo BDP95 and have a very quick question in setting it up for Movies and Music.

I am running hdmi from oppo to to my AV8003 and also running front left and right from to Oppo to CD input in AV8003.

Former I would like to use for Movies and later for just my music cd's.

If i go into the audio processing set up in Oppo and ask for a down mix to Stereo, will it even down mix my HDMI output or will that stay un affected.

Appreciate any input on this.

Thanks but I figured

I don't have to set down mix as my Cd's are already stereo only and oppo will just play them as such.

I don't think there is a such thing as dumb question. Thats really dumb is do something wrong, try to fix it yourself, break it further and then ask for help on how to fix it.
