Dumb questions...

I purchased an AverMedia Volar HDTV (OTA) USB tuner for my Vista MCE box. I picked it up for a good price after rebate.

Check out the first question on the rebate form:



Are you kidding me? What is this product going to be used for? I give up on common sense in an form or function. I almost wanted to write in:

Converting it to a pot pipe...

By the way it is a nice product.

It's really scary when a manufacturer sells a product and they don't know what it is for.

"Let's see, Bill. What if I solder this tuner here and a USB port there. Do you think someone could find a use for it?"

If it were me, I'd answer "sex toy." Let 'em wonder.

It's poorly worded but the intent is 'How will you use this product?'

A lot of rebate or registration forms include such questions.
