so i have a real dumb question. i plan on making my own set of 2way bookshelf speakers. how exactly do i wire the speakers to my receiver? i assume i wire up my own crossover and have that wired to the receiver? thanks

You should take a look at the speaker building supplies at Parts Express or Madisound. They have everything you need including drivers and crossover parts. You can get speaker terminals that you wire to the crossovers. The terminals are available at a range of price points but you don't need to spend a lot of money to get some decent 5-way posts.
