Dual zone receiver issue

When I turn on both zone A and zone B, I lose my whole left channel on both zones. If I only run one zone both channels work fine. Any thoughts on what it may be?

I'm not sure you have a Zone 1 and a Zone 2. It looks like you have A/B speaker outputs. It's different. Does yours look like this:

If so, the first thing I would check is your speaker connections. Make sure there are no shorts from one wire to another. (I assume this unit is supposed to play A & B speakers together, and used to do it?)

This is exactly what the back of my receiver looks like! I checked all the speaker wires. So the left speaker (left channel) works fine when I only run the "A" speakers. When I run the "A" + "B" speakers I use the left speakers.

I don't know. Think I would suspect the A/B switch on front of the receiver itself. Maybe it's possible to remove the AVR cover and clean the switch if it's accessible.
