 VERY new!!
Because of wifey requirements I'm going with Boston Acoustics in-ceiling speakers for 5.1 system. On reconmendation of BA I purchased 2 10" subs. My Onkyo has only one Pre out "sub" connection. What's the best way to configure (in-wall) wiring to subs?

Thanks for any and all input.

If you are using an external amp, simply run speaker wire to each sub then connect to each channel of the amp or in parallel if its a one channel amp and capable of driving 1/2 the impedance of a single driver.

then use a ysplitter from the sub out of your receiver into the two channel sub amp or if its a single channel amp simply run a straight rca coax connection between your receiver sub out and the input of the amp.

Clarify

I may need to clarify or I'm just doing this all wrong. Anyway, the subs are individual powered subs. All other speakers are in-ceiling. I'm planning to run cables from my back closet to jacks at the front L/R of my living room.

I was considering using LFE and attaching the subs to the front L/R.

Thx again.

You can just use a Y-Splitter and then run one cable to each sub.
