DTS Neo6 and PL2

Hi ALL,

I have a JVC RX-D402 reciever and OPPO DVD player. I have an HDMI connection from the DVD-RECIEVER-TV. When i play audio CD's i dont hear sound from my sorround speakers( I have 5.1 setup). How do i invoke DTS Neo6 processing in my reciever to get sorround sound?. Hope someone can help. THanks.

Yes i do when i play Dolby Digital 5.1 channel or DTS EX movie DVD's but i dont hear any sound from the rear when i play regular audio CD's. Reciever manual says that my reciever can convert audio cd's(stereo) through Dolby Pro Logic II or DTS Neo6 in to 5.1 channel surround. But i dont know how to invoke Neo6 Decode mode in my reciever(JVC -RXD402B)

just change the listen mode to PLII or DTS NEO6. there should be some sort of knob or a set of buttons that allows you to do that

On some receivers you have to use the ANALOG inputs on your receiver to get the neo6 rear channels to work on a cd. Try that, I think it just might be your problem. On my receiver I have to have it switched to analog input for Neo6 to work with cd's only. Strange though that this is not the case when I play MP3s.

I believe Neo:6 only works on DTS or 2 channel analog signals. PLII will work on analog or digital (2ch PCM, DD, DTS) signals.

There should be a button on the remote or front panel, usually marked 'surr' that will change the surround mode.

Thanks for all your suggestion, i will try to swith the audio to analog and try Neo6.
