Can anyone tell me what the difference is between dvd-a, sacd, and dts cd's. My current cd player doesn't support dvd-a or sacd. However, my dvd player and receiver have dts encoding. Would i be able to listen to dts cd's. Really wanna get the Diana Krall DTS cd. But wanna know if my cd player will be able to play it.
Can anyone recommend a good sacd/dvd-a player. Looking at a price range of 200-300.
Thanx

DVD-audio and SACD are not playable on normal DVD player, but some higher end DVD player, e.g denon 2910 is able to play DVD-Audio and SACD. DTS-cd can be played on any dvd player, but it's a multi-channel music, u need a multich receiver and at least 5.1 system to play.

the only good thing about dts-cd is the multich sound, the sound quality actually about the same like normal cd (some say worse). DVD-audio and SACD are multich as well (but some song are in stereo) but have better sound quality...

denon 2910 dvd player is a very good choice...
