Is there a particular type of cord needed when using the coaxial/out of a blu-ray player connected to the coaxial/in of a 5.1 receiver(which has DSP/DTS/Dolby capability)? The receiver's indicator is displaying DSP, but I know it will display DTS with another DVD player. I prefer the DTS.

Try keeping it in one thread.

This is the third thread that you have started concerning this matter.

I told you in your very first thread that giving the specific model of your bluray player would help in solving your problem.

Most likely your Bluray player is set to output LPCM (player decoded - DTS light) rather than Bitstream (receiver decoded +DTS light)

However since you clearly confused the standard analog RCA outputs for digital outputs in your second thread, it makes it kind of heard to really tell what you are working with or what you are doing, or whether or not you have the player hooked up correctly in the first place!

No amount of advice on our part will solve your problem, if you don’t have the thing hooked up correctly, and without knowing specific model information, nothing more than an educated guess can be provided concerning the necessary settings in the player.
