Periodically loosing voice volume whllet keeping background sounds while watching broadcast channels. Turn volume up very high, get voice back, then down to normal listening level. Periodically have to do this multiple times a day. Cause? Fix? Arris v s1100 cable box, Denon a time-x2100w. I’ve set the cable box to fixed volume output, but has not helped.

Are you running a center channel speaker? Or just L/R speakers?

I'd assume something wrong with your cable box or settings for it if it happens with no other source, not sure what you can do other than trying fixed volume as you have....unless your cable co easily swaps out set top boxes....

Thanks for your response, the cable Bochy is a whole house Dvr. So I have 2 other set top boxes running off of the central box. One remote box, no AV receiver has no issues, other remote connected to a Denon AV, it too has no issues, only happens with the main cable box and connected Denon AV receiver. Thus I’m wondering how f it is a Denon issue or setting. I’m trying different things, like changing dynamic volume on Denon to “light” or to off to see if that makes a difference.

Tried changing cables? What type of connection is it?
