Driving six 6 Ohm speakers two channels

I've got six 6 Ohm NHT Outdoor One speakers I want to drive with a Yamaha HTR 5940 in two channel stereo. Will this work? What's the best way to connect wiring? Channel A, channel A & B?

You'll need to use something like THIS unless you want to run the risk of smoking your receiver.

Yes, you will need some sort of impedance matching device such as the box listed or a volume control that has that feature as well.

Those speaker switching, impedance matching boxes are junko..
On paper they seem like a good solution but load the amplifier in a very, strange, destructive way often blowing out the output stage..

The best way is to use a multi-channel amplifier designed for multi-zone distribution, check out something like Speakercraft BB-835..

Are you trying to drive 3 speakers on one channel and 3 on another? If so you can run them in series/parallel wiring and not use a box. Can your Yamaha push less the 8ohms?
