Driver vs. Noise Cancellation

Is there any correlation between the amount of noise cancellation you can achieve and the actual driver itself (sensitivity, frequency response, etc) ?

Forgive me for my ignorance, I'm a bit tired, but are you talking about headphones? I'm a bit confused if we're talking about regular loudspeakers and active noise canceling. I'm guessing you mean regular speakers since you posted in the loudspeaker section, but I don't see how active noise canceling comes into play with a freestanding loudspeaker.

I should've clarified a bit further, but I am talking about noise canceling in headphones.

AFAIK, the specs of the driver are less relevant than the quality of the components used, the mic, the seal of the ear cup and any other technology that goes into how any particular company is implementing their noise cancellation.
