Gotcha

Audiophyte
hello,

i've recently purchased a stereo-tower and i've noticed one driver is bad
i've been looking for replacing it, but it isn't available anymore
so i'll have to replace it with another make/model

i guess the new one should be pretty much the same as the old one since the speaker consists of two identical woofers placed in series

the old one:
- westra sw-200-1304
- 80W RMS
- 4 ohm
- frequency range 35-2000hz
- resonance 35 Hz
- sensitivity 87 dB

which of these specifications have to be the same for the new driver?
or what's important when buying a new one?

thanks

You will want to match al the specs as close as possible, and if I were you, I would replace both speakers to get a matched pair, but you will want to replace them for all the speakers, because if you don't the speakers will sound different from each other. Hope that helps. :D
