I’m currently in the process of purchasing a new system with the following features:
- TV: probably Samsung Model Q90T; 55 inches; with HDMI 2.1 and Dolby Atmos;
- AVR: HDMI 2.1 and Dolby Atmos; probably Denon X3600H;
- Audio: Dolby Atmos: 5.1.4;
I understand that the Amazon app on the smart TV passes Dolby Atmos to the AVR via ARC utilizing Dolby Digital Plus. My limited research indicates that the maximum number of channels with Dolby Digital Plus is 7.1. Is this correct?
If so, how does the AVR process only 7 channels when my setup is configured for 9 channels?
Thanks for your help ….
