Doesn't make any sense....

As mentioned in another thread, I recently hooked up my computer to my Yamaha AVR. Because my only desire was to play "library" through the receiver and listen through the deck speakers, I used the analog method, simply running high quality RCA cable from the Sound Card to an AUX in on the receiver. This worked fine for my application. My step son loaded his library using Dell Jukebox by MusicChoice. I used WMP 128kbs. In playback, his library has a noticable buzz where mine does not. This does not make any sense to me. Why would the software choice create an obvious hardware glitch?

If you can, see if that buzz from his library is there when using a headphone from the computer, not your Yam. Maybe there was something amiss in the transfer to the computer?
Yes, it sounds strange but try to experiment and isolate.
