Does this work both ways?

I have a laptop that has an S-Video output. I have a cheap TV in my bedroom that I want to connect to it occassionally but it only has composite. I stopped by RadioShack and found they had an S-Video to composite adapter for 22 bucks! I checked Monoprice and found THIS at a much more reasonable price. The only thing is that it says it's an S-Video to composite adapter. I need the opposite. Will that adapter work?

EDIT: Wow I feel like an idiot now. I just clicked on "Specifications" and it states clearly that it does work in reverse. It has been ordered.

Why would you need the opposite? And no, as you see it does not work in reverse. The reason is that S-Video has one coax for the chromescence and one for luminescence. Composite has both in one.

I needed the opposite because my laptop only has an S-Video output and the TV in my bedroom only has composite.

It does work in reverse. I received it on Monday and it works great. I can watch streaming TV shows from Netflix while browsing the net.

What are you doing for audio? I connected the 1/8 to the 1/8" on the back of my tv and the sound is very low. What I really want to do is hook it up to my receiver but I don't have the adapter to go from 1/8" to left & right rca. Just wondering if you have tried it and how it sounds. Is it in stereo, 5.1 or very low mono etc. Also how do you do it so the tv shows netflix and your laptop screen allows you to surf the net at the same time?

Thanks,
