I noticed in some of the postings that the Onkyo TX-SR602 has some QC issues but I could not find any specifics. Can somebody tell me or piont me where I could get more information on the issues with Onkyo 602.

Thanks

start here. the problems seem to run all through the x02 lineup. then look at places like shopping.com and others for similat discussions.

you might also wonder where places get enough of these rebuilt things to list them as a stock item..

strangely enough, their bottom end HTiB receivers are generally regarded web-wide as the best in their class & price point. I also found very few negative comments about the x01 series from last year.

If you follow the threads I think you'll find that most of the problems you refer to are in fact down to incorrect set-up... not QC problems.

Indeed. Hardly sounds like a fundamental problem with the x02s.

I'm the lucky one....

I've had a txsr602 for about 2 weeks now, and I have had no problems with it. CD's play just fine through the multichannel, optical, or digital coax inputs. Maybe there was a bad batch, but I know nothing of it. I love my 602, and would reccommend to anyone.
