Does my Yamaha HTR-5490 have enough juice?

This is opinionated, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on whether or not my Yamaha HTR-5490 would have enough power to push a pair of JBL S-312's in stereo mode. I know it doesn't make much difference, but I will not be running any other speakers other than these. I want to be able to get decent bass from them without my receiver creating distortion.. The power should be enough for your mids and highs but for getting good bass, you need to add the biggest sub your wallet can afford, like the Yamaha YST-SW800/1500.
