I am getting a Crown XLS1000 to power the simple kappa perfect build. Does the Crown have a subsonic filter? If not what are the cheaper options?

Your best bet is probably a miniDSP.

That amp does have filter options but the lowest setting appears to be 50Hz.

P.S. Another option for sub frequency control would be the Behringer DSP1124P.
