Continuing a run of musical deaths in the last couple of weeks Doc died at 89 yesterday. For those unfamiliar, he was one of the most important American folk guitar players for many years playing over a very long career. His style of flapicking bridged folk and bluegrass with influence on both. I've never met anyone who didn't like his sound once they were properly introduced to it.

Add the fact that he was blind since birth makes his accoplishments even more amazing.
