I am in the market for a progressive scan dvd player. I have a Samsung HLM617W DLP with the built in Faroudja deinterlacer. I was reading about all the new dvd players out denon 1910, 2910, sony 975, bravo d2. What i really need to know is if my tv has the deinterlacer built in will i see any improvement by using the dvi input and the dvd with a deinterlacer? I would rather buy a used higer end dvd( found a few like denon dvm 4800, elite 45a) player until the HD dvd comes out, am i thinking correctly?
any info would help greatly.
