Do effects of room acoustics change with SPL

As the SPL increases in a room, does the effects of room acoustics change with it? Which band of frequencies has the most pronounced affect with increasing SPL?

I suppose that if the speakers are well away from walls, there would be an SPL below which room reflections would be inaudible. Standing waves probably become more significant at high SPLs, also.

What about things that absorb energy like couches and the like. Can you compensate this absorption through volume alone?

You can raise the volume but you can't recreate the reverberation that was lost.
