If you play games, do not need the 7.1 analog out, and/or want to do a lot of streaming the PS3 may be a better option. If not, the DMPBD85 should be good but for $299.99 you have better options.

I do not play games. however, I would like for it to be wifi-built in an able to have pandora, netflix, and a good upscaler. Any suggestions? Budget $300

The LG 390 may work for you. If the Pansonic BD65 and BD85 have the features you need then they are good too. Personally I would still consider the PS3. It really does almost everything for you including possible 3D (rumors has it that it could be made possible via FW upgrade), all for $299.99, still within your budget. In terms of upscaling, it does not score as high as the Oppo models using test discs but I believe you won't see much difference if at all, in watching real world materials. The down side is, it really is a game system not a stand alone BD player.

If upscaling is critically important to you then you should know that the Oppo 83 (an universal player) ranks top in that department, but I am not sure if it has the other features (wifi, streaming etc) you need. You can check out their website.

The BD-85 has WiFi capability, but needs an addon to do it. The PS3 has it built in but you have to buy the BD remote separate or if you want to control it via a standard IR remote, you have to buy a universal remote and an IR to bluetooth adapter, so each have their drawbacks.
