Has anyone ever made a Y splitter before. I'm looking for some tips and procedures. Thanks.

M mbaylor Junior Audioholic Nov 9, 2005 #4 I am thinking about adding another sub, so I would actually need 2 RCA Ys. I guess it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to mess with making them. I would need to split at the receiver and then split the cable again at the sub to fill both inputs. That sound about right?

j_garcia Audioholic Jedi Nov 10, 2005 #8 My VTF-2 did also, though it wouldn't go to "sleep" too often. You can also adjust the receiver's sub level up slightly and turn down the sub's gain so the sub sees a little more incoming voltage.

j_garcia Audioholic Jedi Nov 11, 2005 #9 My VTF-2 was also a v1, with the older amp. My guess is the new amps probably don't have this problem. I noticed the issue seemed to be a somewhat common question with the older versions on HSU's forums when it first did it to me. Using the Y solved the problem.
