I just made a DIY cable out of four 14ga mil-spec silver coated copper conductors, two for the positive and negative ends, twisted together at the amp end, and split at the speaker end for bi-wiring. I bought the mil-spec wire for 25 cents a foot. In the testing I've done so far, I'm pretty sure it sounds better than the $17/ft Audioquest bedrock I'm testing it against.
