Hey guys. I've been reading various threads about DIY subs for a few years now and right when I think I know exactly what I'm going to do someone posts something I simply can't resist trying.

I'm talking about a 1260w build. There is already more than enough info out there for me to build my box (1.2cu ft IIRC), but I want to build a box that I could use a LMSR-12 in when I decide to upgrade. I think it would be possible since the 1260w has a smaller cutout than the LMSR-12 so I could just widen the opening .1" and be good. Having said all that, is that even a good idea? I think there could be issues with slightly widening the opening, but that is such a little amount that I have to think it is doable.

So I'll be building a 1260w pretty soon (I have the older smaller brother 1050w in my truck) since I recently purchased my tools so hopefully my plan will work.

Also, has anyone measured the 1260w in a similar build? The box would be a 1.2 cu ft sealed.
