DIY Speaker Stands.

For those of you that would prefer not to be raped by the prices of speaker stands these days, I offer a solution. All you need is a table saw, and a sheet of MDF. My first stands were DIY, but they were crap. The tops and bottoms made out of MDF, and the pole a 4x4.

The new design uses all MDF, and has 2 sides for the middle. A brace is then installed between them for added strength. For feet, I drilled and screwed 4 hockey pucks into the bottom of each stand. Laugh if you want, its a cheap, heavy, and stable way to make feet. The stand is very simple, and looks good. For putting it all together, I used a nailgun. If you don't have one, you can glue and screw, or nail it manually (have fun with that). This isn't a very complicated project, but you need to measure and cut everything carefully if you want it fit and look good.

I will also be making a couple DIY subs. One for my car, and another using a plate amp I have lying around.
