DIY - Round Bass Trap

I am looking at buying some pipe insulation to make a few bass traps for my corners. I am thinking of using at least ones that would cover a 10" diameter pipe, but what is the minimum thickness of the insulation that I should use in this case?

i'd get any thickness of the 10" diameter pipe BUT fill it up with fiberglass instead of leaving it hollow.

I do have fiberglass laying around. I think that I can get up to a 12" diameter, would there be a difference between a 10" and a 12" for use as a bass trap?
