DIY PRE-AMP Kit Recommendation

I am interested in building an active stereo pre-amp from a kit that includes a PCB.

Key Features: tone, balance, bass, treble, two pre-outs, with multiple inputs.

Is there a high quality, relatively inexpensive (goals may contradict) kit that you could recommend?

Question 2.
Alternatively, are there kits that you would recommend that has a solid stereo pre-amp and capable of 6.1 home theater?

The last kit manufacture that I knew of that made good kits was Heathkit. Sadly, they stopped making kits many years ago.

A Google search may turn something up (if you check carefully) but all I saw were tube preamps.

I've across this site that sells PCBs for preamps although components are not included, as far as I can tell.
There are very interesting articles there too. Worth a visit.

Hi - as pointed out above, The Audio Pages has a number of preamps, and Project 97 has tone, balance and volume. Input selection is up to you, and extension shafts are also available allowing a rotary switch to be located at the back of the preamp case.

Hope this helps.
