I am on a tight budget and trying to fill a large room.
I was going to get some ascend 340's for the front and some 170's for the rear.
I decided to build my sub i have a 18 inch Dayton Ho driver that I was going to use but i ran out of time always at work after I bought it.
I seem to have a little more time but so i am building the sub this will save me a lot on the cost of getting a sub.

I am not use to looking at DIY speakers but what I have seen is after you buy all the parts you are not saving a lot. I may have been looking at the wrong items to not sure.

The other thing is not sure how they compare to say a ascend 340 speaker or what you would have to spend to get the same quality of sound.

If there is anyone that has experience with DIY speakers can you tell me what to expect as far as quality in the sound and what they compare to.
Thanks
