DIY Focal/JMLab

I'm a Klipsch fan but also like the open sound of Focal speakers. Went to Tweeters and auditioned the 918 and 826 they blew me away so did the price. I know these speakers can be built for a fraction of the cost but need someone to point me in the right direction. I'm new to DIY and am willing to learn even from my mistakes which will happen. Need to know how to make Focal like floorstanding speakers on a budget. Any help would be welcomed.

Klone-Audio site has a lot of info on cloning/copying commercial designs. You may want to check it out. They do a neat looking copy of the Legacy Whispers, plus some big Wilson speaker that I can't recall right now.

Zalytron http://www.zalytron.com/ sells Focal and JMLab drivers. They offer some kits made with the JMLab drivers. See if these kits resemble the Focal 918 or 826.
