Does anyone know if there are any relatively inexpensive diy acoustic room treatments that I can make?

What do you want the treatments to do i.e. reflections or bass traps? And how inexpensive do you want to go.

I made 17 various panels out of OC705 2" for 200 bucks including all materials to frame.

I want to make my speakers sound less bright. As of now, I don't have curtians over the windows, but do plan on adding them at some point in the near future, but just haven't gotten to it yet. Also, there are no pictures or anything else on the walls at this point, so I need something to help tame the reflections. You can see what speakers I'm using in my sig. line. If I could do some inexpensive bass traps, that would be good too. I prefer to keep the price as low as possible.

Well first and formost I would get some heavier curtains to deal with those windows. Those will help your reflections a bit.

After that you could probably use a variety of materials to deal with reflections. 4" thick acoustic foam works well on the higher end frequencies as well as acoustic cotton. You could also see if there is an SPI or something near you that sells Owens Corning. Posting a picture would be useful for someone more knowledgeable than me and me to an extent try and figure out where and what type of treatments would best benefit you.

My homemade basstraps work okay. I was expecting them to work lower but overall I am happy.

All you will need to do is make a frame and pick some fabric then wrap the frame once the material is in.

Yes, curtains on the windows, a rug or two on the walls; it won't be as acoustically absorptive as, say, glass fiber-board, or Sonex or something like that, but it will have a positive effect on sound quality.

As for a home made bass trap, it could be fairly inexpensive to build a resonant panel absorber in a corner.

Thanks guys, I think I'll start with some curtains.
