Did you actually visit the neighbors and listen to their Ch2 on TV? Maybe they just didn't notice the difference?

Did the TV repairman acknowledge the problem? Did this problem happen without you changing the setup? Most curious.

yes the cable man noticed the problem and no i didnt listen to the neighbors tv myself but i supose they could of not notice the problem as it not as noticalble with just the tv speakers and i did change the set up but this was after i the problem started i goning to disconnect everything and reconnect everything separateing all the audio and video and power cords and see if this helps as it a big mess of wires

Yes, that is a good start but I still don't see why just ch 2 has this problem, even though it is on the low end of the frequency spectrum, around 54mHz. anything on ch 3, 4 or 5?

In general I am do not think power conditioners improve audio or video. But for a specific situations they can perhaps help. A while back Gene or Clint mentioned that a power conditioner helped with cable video problem, so maybe one might help with cable audio problem. So there is no misunderstanding what I am suggesting is that running the audio through the conditioner might help, not running the AC power through it.

See if you can listen to the neighbor's TV on ch2. There may be a cable line amp someplace causing this, unless it is the ch2 station itself?
