Maybe other people already knew, but I just found out you can stream different versions of a movie. IMAX, widescreen, or the regular letter box edited for screen size.

Some of the Marvel movies on Disney+ are IMAX Enhanced and feature an expanded aspect ratio for some scenes and in some cases the entire feature. DTS audio will soon be added.

I believe Shang Chi was the first one. Wakanda Forever also has it, though I can't say I really noticed much difference.

The image used for the Shang-Chi IMAX
Enhanced version is cropped at the sides and is not what one will see when watching the film. The IMAX Enhanced version actually expands the image from top to bottom without loss of image from side to side. The “Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” IMAX Enhanced version image is more accurate.

There are currently seventeen titles in the Marvel: IMAX Enhanced section on Disney+. Of the seventeen titles, only “Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness,” “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings,” “Avengers:Endgame,” and “Avengers:Infinity War” are presented in the expanded 1.90:1 aspect ratio for the entirety of the film while the rest feature the expanded 1.90:1 aspect ratio only during select sequences.
