We have a plan at the moment with DISH network, forgot which one it is, we have everything, doesn't really matter (I hope).

Anyway... I want to add another reciever to the mix for my room and get TV Japan. I know that TVJ is about $25 a month, but how much more is it per month to get another dish box/dvr on the bill?

(PS: when I went to their site a minute ago. it said "Server is too busy". LOL! ) :D :D :D

hmm... I guess I'll have to call them when I get some time off?
I don't know if they are available to answer the phone 24/7. By the time I get off work, it's REAL late.

I think you need to call Dish Network customer service to get a real price. I think there will be a $7/mth leased receiver fee. There is also likely a one-time lease fee for the receiver. This fee depends upon which receiver you get and seems to change over time, sometimes being lower when promotions are going on. I recommend you get and write down a complete breakdown of all the charges for your current and possible future Dish Network setup and then you will be in a better position to judge whether you want to add on to your plan or not.

First off, how many receivers and rooms do you currently have? That can make a big difference. You may have to outright purchase the receiver. Anything over 4 rooms they start charging. As far as I know you can not lease anything over 4 rooms. I am going on 6 years working for dish network so unless something has changed and they not told me this will cost alot.
If you have any single tuner boxes you may be able to upgrade to a dual tuner to get one more room. But your almost always limited to 1 upgrade per year which will also most likely extend your contract.
One other thing is if you live in an area that uses sub contractors to do the installs they may charge you for any special switches you may need ie; 44switch. Which you will have to have most likely.
Its hard to know what you need without knowing what receivers you have in your house and the type of dish ex; dish 500 or 500+ or 1000+ or 1000.2 or 1000.4 for the eastern arch.
