Hello, I just bought a new home theater setup and am using the Yamaha HTR-5760 reciever. Since I didn't have enough component and s-video cables to run from the sources to the reciever and then to the tv, I decided to just run the video from the sources straight to the tv, and let the reciever just handle the audio. My question to you is: Is there any disadvantage to not letting the reciever process the video as well? Synching or anything like that? I have watched a few movies on the new set up and have played the xbox with this setup and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. But I'd figure'd I'd ask the pros.
